Antique White Pine

Eastern White Pine has a light brown heartwood which darkens like Wormy Chestnut markedly on exposure to air. Antique White Pine is generally straight-grained, easy to work, and highly stable. Our re-sawn Antique Eastern White Pine is referred to as Old Growth White Pine, Pumpkin Pine, Antique Red Pine, and Antique Fir.

Antique White Pine is a favorite for flooring and furniture because of its excellent machining qualities, and it is also used extensively in the manufacture of moldings and other antique millwork items like, wainscoting , paneling, baseboards, casings, crowns, and other moldings as well as stair-treads and custom furniture like our Antique Farm Tables, Antique Pine and Wormy Chestnut picture frames. The heavier, more durable, woods were made into heavy timbers. Antique hand-hewn and saw-cut barn beams are most common. The knotty species are used for decorative paneling's. Antique weathered barn siding is found in White Pine, Red Pine, Fir, Antique Hemlock, Poplar, Wormy Chestnut, Antique White Oak, and Antique Red Oak. Most desirable of our products are; Antique White Pine, Reclaimed White Oak, Reclaimed Red Oak, Wormy Chestnut, Vintage Cherry, Antique walnut, Aged Hickory , Antique Maple, Ash, Beech, Antique Fir, Vintage Heart Pine, and Antique Tulip Poplar.

Antique Log Homes

Historic American hewn log cabin 18th and 19th century built by early settlers on site using straight old-growth trees, that were native. Materials used, hewn old-growth white oak log cabin beams, antique red oak hewn log cabin timbers, wormy chestnut hewn log cabin timbers, vintage white pine, antique hewn poplar log cabin beams. Antique hemlock hewn log cabin beams. Historic log cabin floors (wide width up to 20") vintage red oak, historic white oak, antique eastern white pine, aged wormy chestnut lumber, antique tulip poplar flooring, antique hemlock flooring, wide antique heart pine flooring. Siding and paneling used, aged oak, wide wormy chestnut, antique weathered hemlock, old-growth white pine, weathered white pine siding, wide antique heart pine, rustic tulip poplar, wainscoting, bead board paneling.

Antique Timber Framed Barns

Early American barns with their large open expanses were timber frame structures. Massive heavy timbers (up to 24" wide) were used to construct the large timber frame. Often early settlers found to save time in construction to implement the use of salvage timbers from previous on-site structures. Materials used in construction, hewn white oak barn beams, hewn red oak barn beams, hewn white pine barn beams, reclaimed wormy chestnut barn beams, reclaimed hemlock barn beams. Floors, Wide (width up to 30"). Old-growth eastern white pine, reclaimed white oak, reclaimed red oak, antique eastern white pine. Reclaimed wormy chestnut lumber. Siding, weathered eastern white pine barn siding, weathered oak barn siding, weathered wormy chestnut barn siding, weathered hemlock barn siding, weathered heart pine barn siding. Available in White Pine, Hemlock, Oak, and Poplar. Reclaimed floors are carefully removed from houses, barns, and buildings built between 1750 and 1850 and can be remilled or shipped as it comes from the building.
